The Heaven Of Books - THE LIBRARY

When I was about six, I visited a library for the first time in my life. I wondered whom the books in the library may belong to. Then I thought that whoever it is, would be a lucky person. I have been a great lover of books and my craze for books even increased when I came to know that there were special places just for books. When I was back I asked my granny, which was the most wonderful place, a place which is liked by everyone and a place where all wish to go, where there is peace. After thinking for a couple of minutes, she answered me just with a word- ‘Heaven’. Then I wondered if the library can be called the ‘Heaven of Books’. My granny said that she agreed with me.

A library is a place where everyone loves to go and a place where we can find a lot of good books. Library can also be called ‘The Home for Books’ because the book family is there accompanying their frequent visitors. Library is a place where we have to keep complete silence. We have to obey some rules in a library. One such rule is to be silent and not to disturb other readers. ‘Silence Please' is a sign we often find in libraries. The orderliness of books in a library is a fact that attracts readers. The books kept in correct order in the shelves looks really awesome. I often wish I had a library of my own with lots of wonderful books. I would build a small library of my own at my home and name it ‘The Heaven of Books'.

BOOK REVIEW

Book: The Little Women

Author: Louisa May Alcott

Set against the background of American civil war, this book revolves around the March sisters: Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy. They live with their mother (“Marmee”) in a small house in New England.. While their father is away on the warfront and their mother busy with volunteering for the war effort, all four girls tide through the year trying to balance their expectations and their dreams with what they have. Their attempts are helped with the arrival of Teddy Lawrence, an affluent but lonely boy, who moves in next door and is drawn by the warmth of the March households. Little Women is a story of everyday struggles, the effort taken to overcome them and the unexpected turns that life takes in process.

Book: The Chronicles of Narnia – The Magician’s Nephew

Author: C.S Lewis

The most well-known titles in C. S Lewis’ The Chronicles of Narnia series are probably The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. The Magician’s nephew is where Narnia begins, even though this is the sixth Narnia book to be published.  Digory Kirke and Polly Plummer meet in London sometime around the turn of the 20th century.  Digory’s uncle, Andrew, has created magical rings that he believes will transport people to other worlds. Andrew tricks Polly into wearing one ring. He then makes Digory guilty about Polly vanishing, and forces Digory to search for her.

Polly and Digory land up in The Wood between the Worlds. They met Jadis, the evil Queen of Charn,  fight off Andrew and witness Aslan, The Great Lion creating Narnia. Digory even indirectly contributes to the creation of the Wardrobe between our world and Narnia.

MY POEMS

                            1. THE LITTLE STAR

High up in the beautiful sky,

Twinkling like a diamond fly.

Look at the sky at night,

You see me with a shining light.

To see me it is like a bit,

But do you know I am very big.

Do you know who am I?

Think and tell me what and why.

                                                -Aarya S Nair

2. THE TREE
Years ago was my birth,

And I was born on earth.

But I don’t know when I was born,

And where my mom has gone.

I grew up from a seed,

And water is my need.

I grew as a plant,

On this fertile land.

I don’t know my mom and dad,

But I never become sad.

I just need sunlight and water,

For me it’s a precious matter.

I am a happy home,

For all my friends who come.

But I don’t know when I was born,

And where my mom has gone.

                                            -Aarya S Nair

3. MY LITTLE PONY

I had a little pony,

Its colour was grey.

It was always hungry,

And loved to eat hay.

Once I lost my temper,

Because of his hunger.

And I took him to the jungle,

 And left him there.

Then I returned home,

And after my supper,

I went to bed

And had a good sleep.

Then my pony,

Appeared in my dream,

Eyes full of tears,

And I woke up with a scream.

The next morning,

The first thing I did,

Was to go to the jungle,

 And fetch my pony back.

I was very happy,

To have him back,

And now I promise,

 To never make him sad.

4. HE WHO CREATED OUR NATURE

How great is he,
Who is the creator of nature,
He created our surroundings,
With lots and lots of creatures.

But I do often wonder,
How he created the sun,
The rain and thunder,
And the twinkling stars too.

He orders the river,
To give us water,
And often helps us ,
If anything matter.

He asks the tree,
To give us fruits,
So that we can be free,
From the call of hunger.

He says to the sun,
To give us light,
So that we can see,
Much clear and bright.

He said to the animals,
And plants too,
To accompany us,
And make us happy.

                                                  -Aarya S Nair

5. LIFE IN PAGES

My life is full of mysteries,
Fun, adventures and histories.

I have a lot of good friends ,

Who enjoy my new trends.

For some guys I am a craze,

But some others simply laze.

I make you happy and sad,

But sometimes I would make you mad.

I have a large family,

It's well known as the library.

Do you know my mother ?

She is also called my author.

To my home I would invite you,

But visitors would be just a few.

But when you come I swear,

I would never make you wear.

My life is full of mysteries,
Fun, adventures and histories.
Don't you want to be my friend,
And keep up with my new trend?
